A great article on the ABC website on August 17 by Jess Davis. We were interviewed along with Damien Crough from PrefabAUS, Dr Ehsan Noroozinejad from the University of Western Sydney, Lyrian Daniel from the University of South Australia and Cicely Sylow who has installed the first “amphibious cabin” at the Dunbogan caravan park. Modular solutions to the housing crisis are now being seriously discussed as a way to reach the governments target of 1.2M homes. We need to focus on the development of housing designed for modular delivery to ensure more people can access high quality, affordable housing sooner. We are designing for the future with climate resilience, energy efficiency and adaptability to suit changes needs at the forefront. This is the focus of our new project – Colac Otway Adaptable Precincts: A Blueprint for Future Housing Delivery – funded by the Federal Government’s Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program.
